Most women forget about their neck and hands when it comes to skincare which in my opinion defeats the purpose of even taking care of your face because what’s the point if your face says 25 if your neck and hands say 45 and give away your real age. I’m definitely guilty of it myself. I do try though. I always remember when I’m putting on my SPF moisturizer every morning to also put some on my neck and hands. I’ve even bought anti-aging creams for both, but I almost always forget to put them on. In fact when I was researching this post, I looked up my creams and found out that both of them are discontinued 🙈 Obviously, I need to find new ones since those probably weren’t the best to begin with so now the search begins.

Let’s start with the neck and décolleté (just a fancy word for your chest). This chart shows just one issue you face with neck aging, platysmal bands (vertical neck muscles). You also have to deal with horizontal neck lines, turkey neck (sagging neck skin), a double chin, and crepey skin (loose and wrinkled skin). As for your chest you get vertical lines, sun spots, and crepey skin there too.
I’ve been hearing about this cream for years. It’s always in beauty magazines as a holy grail product and has stellar reviews. It has a Liquid Crystal Delivery System that is a result of 5 years of research and 4 patents. This cream does it all such as increases firmness and elasticity, improves fine lines and wrinkles, enhances facial contours, and lifts and tones. I’ve never bought it because at 2 0z. for $135 it’s pretty pricey. I’m finally biting the bullet and trying it out because at this age I don’t mind spending money on things that really work and this is supposed to be the best of the best.
This cream has great reviews and people swear by it. Estée Lauder has a Nocturnal Lift Complex that lifts, plumps, contours, improves wrinkles and moisturizes. It also has a day version that has SPF 15 and two options for normal/combination or dry skin. The day version is also $20 cheaper, but doesn’t have as many reviews. It may be because it’s new, but not sure.
This cream has Gravitite-CF Lifting Complex and patented NIA-114 technology that were created specifically to improve the neck and profile. It improves skin elasticity and lifts any sagging skin. Today it’s 50% off online only at Ulta for their 21 days of beauty and has tons of good reviews.

First of all, did y’all know they actually have a professional grading scale for hands called the Merz Hand Grading Scale? Who knew. Anyways, as you can see as you get older you start to lose collagen so your veins and tendons start to show and you get sun spots. Here are the top two products I found to combat these issues.
Y’all know how I feel about SPF so this is my top choice and the one I’m gonna personally purchase! There are many different hand creams out there, but most of them are just for dry skin. There are a few that are for uneven skin tone and hyper pigmentation, but I wanted one that does it all. Protects against the sun, moisturizes, reduces dark spots, and improves collagen. This is it! This cream contains meadowfoam seed oil that helps moisturize, sea buckthorn fruit which improves discoloration and promotes natural collagen production, and of course broad spectrum SPF 40 for sun protection. FYI I used to use my old hand cream at night and realized that since I sleep on my stomach I also sleep on my hands and it made my face breakout. Not sure if this will do the same, but I’d use this during the day anyways because of the SPF.
This is a new product, but I love that it includes a peel. It is a 2 step process and the first step includes a 10% citric acid peel that exfoliates any rough skin by getting rid of dead skin cells. Step 2 is a cream that has neoglucosamine which encourages cell turnover and citrafill which promotes collagen. I received a sample of this when I ordered their Performance Peel AP25 last week. I haven’t used it yet, but I have high hopes for it. I’ll update y’all with the results. This is something I’d probably use at least once a week in addition to the Supergoop!
